I picked up mine @ eglide.com. Real easy, just plug n play, and yes - the cb works just great.

Guys, this ain't a jab at ANY of ya - but the thang ah AIN'T seen is qualifications....

Ah've run CB's fer longer'n ah care ta admit an' the ONLY way ta evaluate an antenna is by testin' SWR's. Without it, you could well be causin' problems that CAN result in fryin' the finals on a CB radio - an' ya can't know that without an SWR meter. Any of ya have one?<G> Ah do - an' when the eBay antenna pegged the meter ah went ta trim it....took another look at it, an' chunked it in the trash an' bought the J&M unit(s). Mebbe ah wuz lucky, but the J&M units needed NO trimmin' ta match the SWR's up, an' the overall fit/finish of the antenna's is superior, IMO.

Now, do NOT think that yer gonna git the same signal strength from ANY of the shorty antenna's - no matter what ANYONE claims. It's physically impossible - but by the same token, ah DO like the shorter ones, so ah'm keepin' the longer OEM ones fer when we're on vacation, an' runnin' the shorties while local.

Ah'm willin' ta bet if someone wants more info on settin' SWR's, JMJohn will be happy ta tell ya how ta do it. Ah've been doin' it so long, that ah'd likely fergit ta tell ya a step 'cuz it's jest sumthin' "ah know".

 

Based on my experience, i'd get the J&M shorties.
