Default RE: IDS Install

ORIGINAL: hennyk

Having a IDS installed on my EGC tomorrow hope it is all what they say it is.
Folks, forgive my ingnorance. But what is an "IDS" and what does/it supposed to do. I have heard of rocks in the tranny, heat isues etc, etc with the 07's. But I hopefully will soon be new to the "touring" forum. I am in the process of hopefully trading my 06 SuperGlide for an 07 Road King. So, could someone please enlighten me??

Oh, and the most important question, is it a warranty/recall thing? And should I ask the dealer who I am bout to get this RK from about it??

Thanks.

I got the Thundermax with Autotune At M&M Cycle in Sandusky Ohio. Makes the bike run like it's suposed to.
Everything Plugs in, no wire splicing, replaces the factory ECM. The Tech support at Zippers is very good. Hooked it all up myself, then called them to make sure I had everything right and it fired right up. The motor ran smoother imeadiatley. The guy at Zippers was very paitient with me and talked thru the whole process of loading the map, etc. Took about maybe 20 minutes on the phone. Couldn't be happier withit. I wish I would have put this on from day one. Probably better for the motor, i'm sure.

Here is the elbow grease sheet. The date is incorrect but a valid program.
