Correct! If you are going to do it do it right the first time. Get the stage 1 kit and SERT or PCIII because I just got it done and I love my bike now.

FYI, my bike had a Stage I download with Screamin' Eagle K&N filter running stock pipes for the first 20,000 miles. Ran fine.If you change the intake you have to retune the fuel injection somehow. If you change the pipes you don't have to, but, you aren't going to realize the full benefit of the pipes until you do something about the breather and ECM.
I agree James. I did a 2 into 1 exhaust with the stage 1 and SERT and had it dyno tuned and it made a big difference. The bike runs and sounds great. Get parts that work well together and have the bike professionally tuned. I also added an oil cooler. These parts will also work well if I build the engine, up to about a 103.
I also get much better gas mileage. It went from 35 to 44mph.
