waltr:

With only a little over two hundred miles on them at this time, I have to say the ride has been excellent. And exceptional handling. Hopefully heading to the Smokies Friday am, and should have a better feel by the time I get back. Will be doing some good high speed Interstate along with a trip across the Dragon if the weather holds up as forcasted.

As I stated above, my initial impression is I'm totally impressed with the ride and handling. Looking forward to some wet weather experience too.

I saw a couple of mentions above, but not much specific feedback on Avon Venom-X tires.
That's what came on my Street Glide.(I boughtthe bike"used" with 800 miles.)

I'd be most interested in hearing from those with experience - How do these compare with other tires?
I want something that sticks like glue in high speed cornering.

Thanks for your input!

What are "Dyna Beads?" I have to say, I've not heard of these before. Any info or linkies you can share.
Thanks.
Ceramic Beads that help balance your tires(I guess).

I ordered some up, as I trust Ben's(WVRDKING) judgement. Mine will be here Sat. or Mon.

As far as the ride on E3's it does not seem to matter the air pressure. They ride rougher. A buddy that had the rear only did not seem to mind so maybe the front is the culpret.

Thanks for the reports , I've read a few on the Commanders .. all positive .
Having tried Metzelers and Avons , both great I'm going to give the Michelins a try this time around , have them on my F-150 might as well match.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is the commander a radial? I noticed on the michelin site a separate link for goldwing radials, but the info on the commander doesn't seem to indicate it is one. If not, is there a radial made for the ElectraGlide?

Those are a completely different tire than the Commanders. The only thing that's pertinent about that recall to this thread is that it shows Michelin's integrity.

Recalled tires, did you notice where they were made?

Yeah, also that they were Z-rated performance tires. Not the Commanders, not that being made either here or there makes much difference. Where are the Commanders made? It is a French company, after all.
