Consider it done...I hate all having to change gears/speed all the time its a distraction. I wanna give the thing some throttle and let it roar!

The mechanics and experienced builders I've talked to suggest either following the book recommendations or are a little more conservative. I've got too much invested to follow a recommendation from some internet site that says to run it to the limits and the hell with conventional knowledge. Stuff is made so good nowadays by everyone it'll probably work out OK either way, but I'm not rich enough to take a chance. I will err on the side of caution (and cheat a little now and then).

Thanks to all that replied...I don't have the bike but did want to know what is recommended. Sometimes dealers forget those pesky little details...

After 500 miles run it hard and change the oil, trans and primary at 1K. JM.02$
Running it hard will give the rings the proper seating capability from the high pressure gasses created when you load it on acceleration.
I had a friend baby his and it burned oil because the rings did not properly seat. They had to re-ring the bike and start over.
The second time he did as I advised and has had zero problems. The bike now has 10K on the clock.

Loading the rings on deceleration is just as important as acceleration. That's why the post above that states 30-60 and coast back down is important. I have posted that before also myself as the proper way to break in the engine and seat the rings.
If you ever saw how the factory runs these engines up before the bike leaves, you would understand about babying the engine and that it's not the best thing you can do for it.

The important thing is to not let the motor get too hot during these 100% throttle runs. I would space these runs out to allow time for cooling.
