Basement storage options?

Basement storage options?
As the riding season here in New England is winding down I was wondering how many people store their bike in the basement,I can ride it right in but I'm concernedabout gas fumes with the furnace also have a small barn but mice could be problem over the winter.Thanks for any suggestions.

Unless it's leaking shouldn't be a concern....stored mine for ever in our basement with the snowblower furnace etc.....still here.....also worked on them when needed.....if yours is finished still see no problem...............

Only suggestion would be not to overfill the fuel tank.
If the room happended to get real hot, the fuel might expand and run out the overflow, but other than that, no reason not to.
We have a 83 Mustang SVO that has been in my Mother's Basement since 1988, with no issues.

It's your bike, your house. It's not a great idea. House catches on fire, fireman goes downstairs fighting the blaze, bike blows up and kills him. Think ahead. Chit can happen.
