Default Raising Passenger Floor Boards

I see there are some aftermarket kits that switch out the passenger floor board for adjustable pegs.

I'd like to keep the passenger floor boards, but raise them up about 3 inches. Anyone try this? Any clue how to do it? Someone told me that you can raise them, but I don't see any place to do that.

You can raise your passenger floorboard brackets. It comes with one addtl hole above the it is in now. You will have to prob uninstall it in order to see it (can't rem).

Additonally HD makes an adjustable floorboard bracket for around $350. New this year is a fixed bracket.
(New) Reduced Reach Passenger Footboard Mounting Kit

Kit raises the height of your passenger footboards by approx. 2-1/4 for increased passenger comfort. Especially desirable on 1997-later Touring models due to the frame and saddlebag guard change.

As mentioned, you can raise your stock boards an inch or two.

BUT, if that's not enough, I DO NOT recommend going with the HD kit for $350.

Instead go with these Kuryakyns. You can leave your stock boards and have several positions with the accessory pegs to boot. Not to mention you get this for HALF the HD price:

I have the Kury's on mine and LOVE them. My son uses the pegs since he can't reach the boards yet. But, my wife still has the stock floor boards for her to use.

I would highly recommend the Kuryakyn Adjustable Pass. Pegs
My wife is 5' tall and we adjust the pass floorboards up 1 level and with the use of the adjustable pegs gives her a added place leg comfort (like our Hwy Pegs) - Also they're GREAT for taking the GrandKids on a putt they can rest there feet on the pegs and not the saddlebags (lol)

I replaced my stock with the HD ones... I don't recall them costing 350...... But the arms works great .....
This is the part I used below. It is perfect since my woman is only 5'4" and now she can sit all the way back and be flat footed. Yes they work with the Rinehardt TD.

50789-99A

Fits '93-later Touring models. (Cannot be used with saddlebag guard bags.)

MSRP US $124.95

It does not look like the Kuryakyn Adjustable Pegs will allow me to install the floor board with it, is that correct? I want to stay with the Floor Board Look.

I like the Fixed Version from HD though. Funny that I was at the dealers a few weeks ago and they did not know about it. Looks like #50789-99Afrom HD is my answer, thoug I will try raising them up first.

Thanks All.

I second what Spike said. I used the

for my wife who is 4'11' and she loves it.Uses your existing floorboards and is a quick easymount, left side is a little tough without longer shaft allen wrench. Hope this helps.

Thanks All.
The Kuryakyn pegs work along with the stock floorboards (so yes you keep your floorbaords and mounts) they just attach to the support brackets on your stock floorboards. I got mine on Ebay for like $139.........good luck
