Yeah I would try looking at everything that everyone has already mentioned, and to add to the list: the fender badge on my RK was REALLY loose and it rattled at low speeds (almost sounded like valve rattle), and I also had the rubber stop fall off the kickstand and it rattled pretty bad also (more at idle than any other time though). Hope ya find it though.
check where under the rear fender and you will see a bracket that connects to the saddle bags they rattle against the inner fender, wedge something between the fender and the bracket that was my problem. I hope that wasn't too confusing.
I got a similar rattle with my 04 king w/ v&h true duals. Freakin' thingis drivingnuts. I'd press against the muffler and it would stop. Turns out the guts are blown out of it. Rineharts w/ chrome tips are on the way!!!
I had an intermittant rattle on the right side that I couldn't track down.
Never could find anything obviously loose.
Then it occured to me that one of the "quiet baffles" I installed in the pipe had a shoddy spot weld on it.
Pulled the baffle and sure enough, it had seperated with part of it bouncing in the pipe at times.
Welded it up and no more noise.
