Default lowering an electra glide

I have a 2006 Electra Glide Classic and would like to lower it just a bit. Even a half inch would be great. Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to do this?

Thanks

My son put a set of profile low touring shocks (HD part number 54631-02B) on a 2007 Electra Glide Classic - did the trick for him.

Before I went with adjustable air shocks I used a lowering bracket kit from TRW that I got on ebay. I liked it a lot and it lowered the bike about an inch at the seat. Handled great and felt great too. Here's a photo of the kit:

I ride two up often ( I am 5'6") I lowered both front and back.... after a year - went back to stock.... hated the ride while two up.... Stock height works ok for me... If I can do it - most people should be able also...

Help me out here... what exactly does lowering an Ultra 1/2"accomplish?
I've been doing alot of rodeo drills and just can't seem to get those front foot boards to scrape.
Other than hearing that magical sound... is there anything else to be gained by a 1/2"?

PLEASE... no wives or girlfriends need to reply.
