Default Road King Classic

The first thing I did to mine 7 years ago was to cut the straps on the saddlebags and permanently attach them to the bag, No sense in having to undo the 2 plastic clips every time I wanted to open them. They don't lock anyway!!

Here it is hooked up to my sleeping (winter you know) deep cycle battery.

Taillight only.

Brake light.

Working on turn signals now. Should have them done next weekend for about 10 bucks.
Great Idea! Going to A/P House tomorrow.

What I did was take the key fob that I had ordered for my garage door and put on some industrial velcro. I then mounted it to the side of the tool bag on the handlebars. Works great and if I need to take it off (rain), it is very easy. Also easy to change the battery.

Hi all! Don't remember if I've posted here before, but I do check in from time to time to read posts and pick up some good tips and tricks.

I saw a post and I'm not sure if it was here or elsewhere, but it was a step by step with photos of how to hardwire HD Harman Kardon Aux2 for use with an Ipod or similar. Does anyone have the link?

Default homemade windshield

I went to menards and bought a piece of 1/8" lexon plexi glass. I took a factory ultra classic 12" windshield and placed it against the lexon and traced it with a pencil. Then I added 2 inches to the height because I am taller and the top of the stock windshield was right in my field of view. I simply cut it out with my jig saw and took a sponge sanding block and sanded the edge for a nice smooth finish. I installed it on the bike and because of the curve of the fairing gave it ridgidity, I was able to do 90 mph without a single bow in the windshield. Dont use acrylic because it will crack, you must use Lexon. I did this all for 15 bucks. Sure beats a factory harley windshield. You can also make it anysize you want.

Greetings ya'll.
OK after much reading I installed the Security system Smart II. I keep reading that the instructions that come with it are wrong ect...
here is the straight scoop. it has instructions for ALL models. I followed the instructions to the T and i had it in within 5 min. the hardest part was taking off the ECM bolts cuz the siren goes behind it (for the 04 RKC) other than that it was a piece of cake. did a few other accessories but the one that got me stump was the 7in headlamp trim ring with visor (part number69733-05) Can someone tell me if there is something else I need to get??? it came with the nut and screw. whats the deal!?!?! I tighten it and its still loose what gives?? any help

Same thing here. I have an oversized one I made that goes out to the edge of the fairing to protect the hands and taller that I use in the winter. All you need is a pattern to start with and modify it.
