Some posted (and now I can't find it) a mod for cutting down the stock backplate and installing a K&N air filter thus allowing more airflow into the engine.
Has anyone seen this, done this and does it work?
Yep, mine is an '95 and so Cassettes not CDs. Actually this is great. I put away several dozen cassettes when we alll went to CDs and now I am hitting all of the yard sales and looking for them...
I trimmed out my 2008 Ultra with chrome door trim, Orielly's Auto Parts- $12.00 for 20 feet. It takes alittle time to push it onto all the lips of the trunk and saddle lids, plus the lowers, but it really sharpens up the look.
Good idea. Got me thinking the same on my 08 Anniversary RG. Undecided about black or chrome trim.
anybody with a "copper top" that has done this mod - black or chrome? Picts please. Thanks!
hello everyone. I just got here, but i made my own LED brake light for my fatboy and even made a few for friends (i spent about 20-30 bucks on parts). I also turned my lower running light on the street glide to a run brake light. the first try was good but i wasn't happy with it. the second is way better. i took pics while building the circuits, but have to wait 4 days.
Only done a couple mods to my Ultra Limited so far.
First mod, I velcro'd a keychain garage door opener under the switch housing on the left side. I reach my finger under there to open the garage as I approach the house. When the forks are locked to the left, you cannot get your finger under there. Saved a bunch of time and money.
Second mod, I HATED seeing the orange bulbs after I installed smoked lens's. I used black BBQ paint on the inside cups of all 4 turn signals and the fender tip light. It darkened the back area behind the bulbs when they are off so I cannot see orange anymore. NOTE: I chose BBQ paint cause of its high temperature rating. Didn't want regular paint cracking up or catching fire from the heat.
