Dawg, the battery will play10 to 12 hours, so just charge it and play it, most mounts can't accept the wide charging plug, mine won't just made to take the mini plug, I can ride all week back and forth to work on a single charge, or all day and still have power when I get home. carry your charging cord with you and charge up if you get low on power
I have ordered a mount for my GPS and in looking everything over it seems that with the bars turned hard left most cig plugs will hit the tank as there is very little clearance from the cig lighter to the front of the tank on my 08 SG. Don't want to hardwire so I figure if it dies I will pull over and charge for a while.

Good luck.
