I had mine chromed and if I had to do it all over again, I would buy the Harley chrome at Zanoties discount. I was not that impressed with my chrome plater here locally.

I am wanting to put a powder coat set on my 07 RGlide but have heard that the forks have a cartridge now. Does this take it out of the shade tree mechanics hands now. Any tricks?

02 to 05 except roadking have left side only cartridge fork.

Mine are getting chromed as we speak. Have an 01 EG....non-cartridge.

if you're in the texas area, check out vanguard plating in conroe texas. Vance did my lowers and the cow bells. I also bought a set of poshied rotors from him. EXCELLENT work!
And to top it off, when I was at his shop he and I were talking and I noticed a black wheel sitting in a post chrome room so I asked to see it. I had no idea about black chrome. OMG those things were awesome. Since my RK is vivid black and I've got all the chrome, I've been contemplating on whether I should have my stock 9 spoke wheels black chromed or standard chromed.
Anyway, Vance does awesome work... give hima shout at Vanguard Plating.
