Bike is unridable for me at 6'5" with the stock shield. I put the clearview 8" w/ recurve and it is greta now. I also have the baffle, not sure how much of a difference that made. I am debating trying a 6.5" clearview with recurve to see how that is.

This is an interesting discussion. I thought I would add my opinion .First, I liked the look of the shorter screen on my RK. It was un-ridable as the buffeting gave me a headach within 5 minutes. I put the tall screen back and it was much better. On my way home from Sturgis this year I found something interesting. When I put my legs out straight on my crash bar to stretch, thenput my boots right next to my forks with my soles aiming ahead, the buffeting stopped! I think it comes more from below. Put on the lowers. jmo

I have the SG windscreen andadded the HD fairing lowers as suggested by my dealer. $29 and it now buffets about as much as the stock windshield does (not bad at all). I was pretty surprised at how well they work.

I like riding with the smaller windscreen a lot now!
