I have this "download, update" crap on both of the radio's that have been in my bike it dont do $hit. My bike is going in the shop on Thurs. for the 5th time, if they cant solve the radio and FI problems then HD is gonna buy my bike back, they dont know it yet but they will. I bought a bike to ride, not to have constant problems with.

If you goto Harley's web page and pull up the street glide or a touring model with the Harmon Kardon radio you will see there is an update for the stereo. You have to down load the file to disk then follow the steps to install the update. I have yet to have problems with mine but another club member has had several with his til the update was installed. Good luck hope this helps out!
Yep so do Chevy, Ford and Dodge. They are ASSEMBELD (sp) in USA there for they can put that label on it. Pop The hood of your pick up, or look at some HD parts, they say "MAD IN (insert forign country here)" As much as I hate to say it but "Made in the USA" dont mean jack anymore.

Sad thing is, the back of the Harmon-Kardon stereo has a little label that says: "Made in USA"
My bike did it yesterday but I was at 100mph, Also pass through your city yesterday. My question to where did you get you bike from? I call Valley HD today and told them about the problem the Service guy Al told me to bring the bike in where they can take a look. He also stated that the pipes shouldn't make you CD skip.

Yea me to, I talked to my service guy today and he is gonna call the MOCO on tues day and tell them to shove the radio where the sun dont shine and that I want my money back. If the MOCO wont compensate for the radio then I am gonna ride the bike up there a$$ and they can give me all my money back. I am absolutly done dealing with it, take that garbage radio out of there put the pocket from a standard in its place and compensate me the coin that the "top of the line HK" crap radio costs.

Im on my second stereo on my SG and it skips more than the first one,I guess it's time for round three.
Well the first radio I had in my bike stopped playing at 90 mph, took it in and discovered the engine mount was bad so the dealer replaced it no question's asked. After the new engine mount it stopped playing at 100mph. So in it went again they could find any thing wrong so I took it home. Talked to them again so they decided to replace the radio (against what the MOCO was telling them to do) so in it went again. I got it back with a brand new radio, it was fine for about three days then it went to $hit, now it skips all the time no matter what the speed 0 all the way up to 115 (fastest I have had it). It is going in to the shop again on thurs. to try to work out the EFI problems, again, this is the third time it has been in for the EFI and it has been in 3 times for the radio now. I got my bike from Hangtown HD, none of the locals had one in. Do you pass through here often? If so we should hook up and chase the white line for a while.
