Here are the new bags, they are two tone Brest of bike Black Cherry Pearl, going toorder the TP from CHD, should I go two tone or BCP to match rest of bike and get the bags painted BCP?
Here is a rear shot my concern is that the hinges are not aligned and the locking tabs are not aligned, should I be worried, the rear mount is about 1" longer than the front.
I can't really see what you are talking about - got a close-up? The front mounting tab is smaller and angled differently than the rear tab - if that's what you are referring to, then I think that's normal and expected. Or are you unsure about how you have them mounted? They look fine on the picture, but I can't see enough detail to determine the issue you're having.
I don't think the two-tone looks bad at all. I'd run it the way it is and see how you like it after a while. I would match the TP with the tank (i.e. solid color) - I think it would integrate better.
Here's what the mounts look like on my '08 Road Glide. They look identical to those on my '07 Road King. Does this help? My bike also has the detachable hardware, so yours might look a little different.
Pastor John, thanks, this helped ID the problem, the spacer you show on the front is on the rear mount on mine I'll change it around, I am positive this is the problem, again thanks and Merry Christmas.
