While my bike is tore down and I am waiting for my heads and cylinder to come back I decided to tackle another little project. I purchased a center tank dash off E-Bayand fitted up my I pod with some plexiglass, foam and leather. Wired in the power and speaker leads and it is ready to go. The cover can be removed for operation and slipped back on for water and theft protection. On the back of the I pod I used velcro to hold it in place which also makes it removable for using elsewhere.
Ipod hook ups like that are pretty common like that in the bay area on Road kings except they cut the Metal center dash
Yeah, there is a bike shop that makes the whole console. It looks awesome, as well as the DIY mod thatKruzin did. I have a Zune, which will not work for the ipod console... to bad, cause I need to figure something out, once I get ready to do the radio thing....
Thanks for the comments guys. I put this together using other parts so if I don't like it I can always go back. So far I think I will like it but the real testwill bewhen I start riding again.
