I'm looking for a new insurance carrier ( Progressive old one ) to save a couple of bucks and wondered if anybody had a great recomend or their one to stay away from ??
I currently have Progressive. They were the cheapest I could find last Feb. I had Foremost before them. Talk to the insurance guy at the Harley dealer. He can send out quote requests on your behalf. No obligation and it couldn't hurt.
I also found Progressive to have the most bang for the buck. One thing worth mentioning is their insurance is cheaper direct online than through a local agent.
I found progressive to be the cheapest last time I checked....I don't know if it is the best coverage. When my year runs out I'll be shopping carriers.

I had an accident (other guy's fault) on 12/25/05. Had it been my fault Progressive was ready to issue a check on 1/9/05.
Pretty damn fast and actually a pretty good offer IMHO. I am waiting for the other guys insurance though so that he can pay for EVERYTHING!
Also a reminder, the more goodies you add to your bike make sure and pay the little extra to have them covered just in case you are the one at fault next time.
I don't know where you live, but there's a company called "Dairlyland Insurance" out of Milwaukee, WI. I've had them for years and find their rates competitive. Keep in mind, however, I've never had a claim so I don't know how they'd be handling one.
There are discounts for Rider's Course, multiple bikes, alarm system, etc.
I have Progressive and when Hurricane Ivan flooded my last bike they were here long before
Allstate came to look at the house. I had a claim for the bike, jet ski and boat. They paid within
a week and did not raise my premium.
