Those little mini-cabins at the KOA campgrounds are actually pretty cool too and fairly cheap to rent. Park the bike right next to the front step and go inside.
Campng to me is no room service.......... Man, after a good long ride: a shower, a few beers in the HOTEL bar, dinner, the weather channel........ later that evening, hotel sex!!!!!!
All depends on what I'm doing. If we're touring on vacation we do the motel thing. It's a lot easier to get out on the road early.
