Both, nice weather, camp.Rain!! motel. I like camping as 99% of the time I,m by myself, carry a military canteen, with cup.Theres always a couple in a motorhome that get up early, and majority of the time come over an talk to you,and always got the coffee on.Behind truckstops, restaurants, occasional bar just about anywhere theres a spot of grass.Gettin old though discovered self-inflating matress, settin up camp takes 5 minutes, tearing down takes the same.Motel about ever 3 days, nobody but cops want to talk to you after 3 days, tend to develop a special personality.
I guess I don't get the adventure in riding from motel to motel, that is unless the weather is really really nasty. Gotta 29' motorhome that gets 8.5 mpg andcost an arm an a leg to go anywhere (old lady's idea).Tent, sleeping bag, fishing rodand 35+ mpgon a bike = a hell of lot more fun and a betterride. Ican get beer and food just about anywhere. Now if only I can figure out how to install a crapper on an Ultra, I'd be in HOG heaven.
That's right! Here is a couple pics of my 300 mile trip one way on my Buell (in the first pic). The pickup was there to haul the panhead and tents etc.No place to strap anything to a Buell, no more of that with my bagger thank god! Second pic buddy getting ready to go to the races!
