on a 2000 FLHT Standard the dealer wants $32.95 plus tax Times 2 for the
rear wheel bearings, These are sealed bearings. does anyone or has anyone
researched an alterntative to their stock bearing for these.

Your dealer is ripping you off big time. These are the 52mm with 3/4" axle. I have em' from All *****. The brand is KLM These are very good bearings.
