Poor headset sound quality
You might want to try swapping your set up withanother bike to see if it is your gear that is messed up, or its your bikes system. It could bea bad pin or wire inyour cord. Have someone else use their cords and headset on your bike and see if they get the same problem.

You have to make sure the center of the speaker is inline with the center of your ear canal. You also need to have the speakers as close to your ears as possible. Remember what happened when you had the old Walkman head phones and you pulled them just short distance from your ears? Crappy sound and no bass.
I have some sympathy for J&M and others, however, who read a topic line"JM headset poor sound" like this and have never heard from the customer/poster or had any chance to deal with the problem. So, hundreds few the topic line and some will think J&M headsets are of dubious quality when, in fact, that is not the case at all, or doesn't provide excellent customer service, when that is not the case at all.
IIRC, J&M provides a warranty, so why in the world the manufacturer would hear from a customer only after that is suggested to the customeron a forum like this always comes as a surprise to me.
I recall a thread when the poster trashed Hawg-Wired after spending bid bucks for amp and speakers, and said he was confident he had installed the products correctly. Several hundred views later, and after finallyspeaking to Hawg-Wired, he learned that he had not installed the Amp correctly and he was very pleased with the amp and speakers after his installation error was corrected.
Let's give manufacturers and vendors a chance to make things right before we complain about a product.

I agree with your assessment of the "Naming the Vendor" statement below so I changed the title of this thread. I emailed John last night about the thread and he answered me within minutes and was on the forum in no time at all. John runs a good size business and travels all over the place with the company. He can't be on here all the time but he's always thanked me when I've brought a problem to his attention.
