Try a pair of Aerobitch Combat Touring boots- you'll learn to love your "uncomfortable" HD's quickly. However when they finally get broken in they're the *****. http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/...s-p-16558.html

I bought a pair of HD Hustins and they are very lightweight and comfortable, not to mention well insulated for how thick they are. I've ridden with them in 35 degree temps with wool socks and 90 degree+ temps as well. I wouldn't want to walk in them for great distances, but for riding and general use, I really like them. I have a wide foot as well and I found these boots to fit nicely, but a bit on the bigger size. I wish I had bought a 1/2 size smaller than I did when I got them. They fit great right away, then streched a bit and got looser than ideal, but still super comfortable to ride in.

I'm picky about shoe/boot comfort. I'd buy them again.

I took a pair of Caterpillar, tan color, and dyed them a different color. Oxblood to be exact. Then polished the heck out of them. Looks good and nobody knows any different. Yea, I still polish my boots the old fashion way. KIWI and a tooth brush.

I think my HD boots are the President model. Comfy, cool, and surprisingly not real cold if used with good socks.

WESTCO BOOT COMPANY, on the high side of cost, but their boots are very comfortable and if you ever wear them out they will rebuild them for you for a small charge. Very good boot.

Been wearing these for years - Waterproff - Lite weight and you can walk ride for hours\days

Magnum Stealth 8" Zipper Assult Boots

Never before had a boot more comfortable - and for less then $80.00 most places

I had a pair of Frank Thomas boots about 35 yrs ago. Most comfortable boots I'd ever wore, good leather, light. more like a driving shoe; anyway wore them out and life moved on. When I got my SG, my steel toe Red Wings loggers (although I still wear them riding the chopper) were too bulky and heavy. Found a pair of Frank Thomas again and they're a bit different than the old pair (a little too "space age" for my old ***) but still light and comfortable and both of them together weigh less than one of my Red Wings! Worth a look, IMO

Try Sears. I have two pair from there. Thesoles are stamped Diehard or Craftsman. Comfortble for walking around in and not too expensive.
