Here is somthing to think about, where is all of this bottled water coming from?
Water shortages?? What about all of the millions of bottles of water sitting in warehouses.

Think gas is bad, just wait.... the cost of clean drinkable water is soon to follow.
SOON TO FOLLOW? You go buy 16 bottles of water @ 1.09, what do you think that cost?

Here in the great, LOL, state of Indiana we have the option to burn the bean. Biodiesel made from soybeans. No cheaper, but does make the bean prices real good. Also have the option to burn Ethanol, corn squeezins, in our alternative fuel equipped vehicles, for about 30 cents a gallon cheaper than 87 octane, but it is less fuel efficient also. Corn prices are great also. Many new Ethanol plants supposed to be built here. But with grain prices skyrocketing for fuel production are we going to be able to afford to eat? And the farmers get to pay these great fuel prices along with big increases in fertilizer, chemicals, and all the other necessities so the world just keeps turning.
Also if I may ask, can anyone tell me where our military gets the fuel they burn in Iraq? I have always wondered this. Thanks for allowing me to contribute. Ride safe and ride often, Mark
Let's not forget the Exxon posted a record year in 2007 with some 30 Billion in profit! What do you expect when people keep electing rich people to congress. Elect a blue collar worker who has had to work pay-check to pay-check before and decide rather to pay the electric bill or the house payment.
That would be $40 BILLION, sir.
A meager $10 BILLION is a huge difference when you start counting that high.
i know what you mean, gas here is 3.24 rite now. i heard the same thing about it reaching 4.00 this summer. F#CK the trees...start drilling in Alaska.
Hey Rip Van Winkle, Where have you been. They've been pumping oil out of Alaska for over twenty years. Except we don't get it, they sell it to Japan. Now sleep on that......
First let me say that we are getting ripped by the oil companies. The amount of profit they are making should not be allowed but our goverment does nothing about it because most of them are oil men!
Ok, with that said here's something to think about; in Europe gas is somewhere around $5-$6 a litre. As expensive as that is, I believe that the average European actually spend less on fuel per week than we do here in America. The reason is their vehicles are much smaller therefore more economical to operate and the best part is most are on 2 wheels as much as possible. Also the majority of carshave diesel engines.
Last summer I traveled to Italy, rented a Ford station wagon (a european model), drove from Venice down to Tuscanny (6hrs) then used the car for another week for local driving and only spent about 40 euro's for fuel.
We have to stop guzzling! Let's ride our bikes!!!!!

That's [sm=bs.gif], but it doesn't supprise me... it makes you just want to [sm=headbang.gif]
I understand trickle down economics, the white glove of competition, and all the other good foundational stuff that makes the U.S. the land of opportunity--why I can buy a Harley Nighty [8D]! It is also true that power and greedcreate an addictive cocktail which can play out and bea costly burden born by U.S. taxpayers. Let's see...oil + profits from rebuilding a country and profiting from war + power + greed for more + lives of U.S. men and women--hum, what is THAT total current cost to the American worker? And then again for other countries that havejoined in voluntarily, or not? I work for a living and love my freedom, though I'malso not going for theindustry propaganda that attempts to falsley portray U.S. workers as victimized, with the sole intentbeing to keepobscene profits flowing in, at the expense of those same U.S. citizens.I don't want anyone to choke, but I might consider paying more per gallon if it went for preserving the natural spaces I want to ride through, and want my kids and their kids to enjoy. But pay extra for my commute andsummer rides just to support the good ol' boys and their version of camelot? No thanks. My 2 cents.
