I've seen mention of touch-up paint kits on the forum. My dealer says they don't exist. Can anyone tell me how to find the numbers for the different colors?

Your dealer is a moron (sorry, was that too harsh??[:@]). I bought a kit of genuine HD touchup paint about 5 days ago from my dealer. They have a bookthat has all the part numbersin it.
You can use colorrite. I have used them before on both my bikes and my truck and the color is pretty damn close, but the HD touchup kits are dead on!!
What I dont understand is how your dealer doesn't know the kits exist?!?!? The 16 year old kid that works part time at the parts counter at my dealership knew about them........

I think i would go to a different dealer. HD makes touch up paint for the main color as well as pinstripes. I just bought pinstripe touch up paint about a month ago for my bike. I am going to go this week to get the main color paint just incase.
i needed touch up paint. the hd paint was very high in price so i asked for paint codes. they said they didnt have any codes. so i went to an automotive paint supply house and theyscanned the top of my saddle bag and gave me a quart of paint and it matched perfectly.
Yeah, I just bought a rattle can of HD black cherry paint 20 bucks but they where out of clear. He told me HD paint was PPG and I could get clear anywhere PPG was sold. Nobody carries it here soI will have to order some from HD I guess... Can't believe your dealer told you that!
