I just ordered some RX glasses from OpticsPlanet.net today. Theprice was way better for the same thing that WileyX was selling. So I'm happy with my order
bought wileyx thruogh local dealer sg-1 I think was the model, transitions rxlens they dont get real dark but close to clear when dark out I havent had problem except for bugs.
I buy all my glasses need at zenni.com, they have everything from soup to nuts, but you have to have a script and sizes of glasses you will need, and they are dirt cheap.
Unless I'm missing something, that's a magic website?
I just received my Wiley-X glasses from http://www.rx-safety.com/ ...my frames alone were $50 cheaper than sprotrx.com. I did a phone order and had them in a week and a half.
Just checked that place out. GREAT prices! Especially for specialty lenses. The lenses alone that I checked on would be around $400 most places and here they were $232 WITH the Wiley-X's! That's a great deal! Thanks for the link!
I had a local Optician match the price that Sportrx was going to charge me, I bought 2 pair of the Wiley-x blink glasses. I got one pair in number 3 gray and one in clear. I didn't mess with the transitions because to be brutaly honest they suck in direct sunlight where the number 3 gray does a pretty good job.
Maui Jim's. Expensive and worth every friggin' penny! Won't blow off, very difficult to scratch when dropped, look right into the sun with no problem, no trouble to use if caught in low light, just simply the very best. Price varies with prescription and coatings. Mine were $425.00 through my eye doctor. Shop around!!!
I got wise. My advice? Get yourself a pair of goggles to put over your glasses. I went the script sunglasses route, about 300.00, (Rudy Sunglasses), andthen needed a new script a year later. So now double the money for a regular pair of glasses and sunglasses...
I got wise.
You can find an excellent pair of goggles to wear over your glassesgiving youmore money to put where it counts; into your bike!
Just purchased my second pair of transition gray lenses from Sport RX. The first frames were panoptics and my new ones are wileyx Airrage ($244) with a lined bi-focal.
Never had a problem with transitions, they work fine for me. I also like being able to remove the foam eye cup when want to.
If you care anything about your eyes, don't waste your money on anything buy polarized lenses.
(ask your eye doctor, and the prescription ground ones are the best!)
