I have been trying to look for a new seat for a 06 Street Glide. How do you know what will fit this? I do not see very much that says FLHXI?? What other bikes would use the same seat to fit the SG?
An Electra Glide seat will NOT fit the SG! The EG seat has a much longer nose than the SG seat. The SG takes the same seat as the Road King Classic and Road King Standard. The Road King Custom seat also will not fit the SG. I just went through all of this - trust me.
Seats for the SE Electra Glide from 2004 -2005 will fit!! FLHTCSE have the same Tank Console in these years. I went with the Hollywood Solo for a slammed feel. Corbin Bagger Seats
I just ordered a Corbin Gamber saddle. I've had several Corbin's in the past and have been very happy with them. Here's a link to the Corbin Street Glide page: http://www.corbin.com/harley/flhx.
I ordered the Gambler with a "nose job". They trim the front part of the saddle to help short guys get better reach. I am only 5'5", so I am real excited to get the new seat and not have to stand on the ***** of my feet when stopped. They think I will pick up 1-2" of reach with the new seat.
I also ordered the seat with the standard leather on the seating area and the fauz ostrich leather on the sides. Corbin does not charge any extra for these types of customizations.
And the SG saddles are unique in size. As UGGA said, do not order a seat for an EG or Road King Custom!
Doug and the others that replied back on this thank you. I have been looking at the Mustang seats. I do not remember what the name of the seat was that I liked. Looking for something that will be comfortable for the long haul, and that has the driver backrest too.
There is a MC Expo this weekend and I am going to go and look around there too.

By the way, here is a link to an excellent seat company called Mustang. If you don't want to go with an HD seat, you might want to check them out.
I also am on the short side 5' 6" and I had the dealer put a reach touring seat put on. Much better for me. Great back support and I'm about an 1 1/2 closer to the ground
Do you have any photos of it?? Would like to see what it looks like.
