Default OK.....Im gonna do 13" cyclesmiths....

Ok, for everyone in the touring section. Ive heard it all. Ive heard everyone sayin what they feel about apes on a fairing bike. Dont like. They look cool. Fugly....not fugly etc. Well after sitting 1 at the stealership, I found it just right. The stock ones, even pulledback, I still bended over and my back hurt. I was thinking of 10" mini apes pulled back, still I was sittin all bent over. So I sat on the SG with the Cyclesmiths 13" bars and found it comfortable to me. Not too high, although I find the 16" lookin killer. I ordered my bars directly from Cyclesmiths, black even....yes I gotta match. Then I ordered all the cables and fittings. My question is this.....How in the heck do I do the internal wiring? I know I hafta cut and solder everything, but where do I get that extra wiring. My bars should be in tomorrow and all my cables and fittings should be in end of the week if not begininng of next week. If anyone can help me, please. Thanks for LOOKIN!!!

Hey, I put 13s on my sg and love em. I put the mirrors under bars and tweets in the fairing holes. You will not need to cut and solder anything. The wires come out of the clips individually , go through the bars , reinstall the wires back into the plugs and reconnect. They are long enough. make sure you either get a heavy duty bar clamp or knerl the stock clamps or the bars will move.I set my bars to far forward at first , 1.5 from fairing and did not like the reach ended up at about 2.5 to 3 from the fairing.I also drilled holes directly above the rear clamp allen bolts so you can adjust without having to take the fairing apart . Couple of black plugs from sears hardware and looks great.Hope this helps.
