I know this is a contoversial subject although I am stuck.
I have been looking at the rinehart eagle beaks and regular slip ons. I like the sound from what I have heard so far. I am also looking at the V&H turn downs also slip ons.
I have heard both and like both. Here is my delima, I want to know which on looks better, better performance and I am looking for a good look for my 07 Ultra.
I would like to know if the rineharts are over rated. I have had V&H before and they were beautiful pipes. I am wanting to know if the $$$$$ difference is worth it.
I am looking for a sound that is not a tin can sound, not as loud as straights but pretty loud with a good sound and I still want to hear my stereo.
I will take any advice, opinions, rants raves. I just need help deciding.
I have rinehart true duals on my streetglide, these pipes sound very good, I have had v&h on other bikes & like the sound of those as well, I chose rineharts because they had a lower sounding note than the v&h, hope this helps

I love the sound of the Rhineharts, but there are just to many around here for me to get them. I choose to go with the Hard Krome T-rexs, and I love them, they sound great and look even better!
Did you know that Kuryakyn makes a set of pipes called the Crushers? I didn't either. They make one set of slip ons only. I got a set and if you want looooow and loouud. 529.00
I have the '06 model Screaming Eagle slip-ons on my 'o7 Ultra and am very pleased with the sound and performance as compared to the usual bikes I ride with that have the Rinehardt true duals.
I think I have had the best of both worlds maybe. I have a 2007 Ultra as well. I had the motor built to a 100+hp 103" and started with Supertrapp SE Touring mufflers with the stock header pipes. Slightly louder than stock but if my memory serves me correctly, the Supertrapps out performed V&H, Rinehart slipons and all the other mufflers in a test done for a bike magazine. 2nd in hp to Kerker and 1st in torqueand the second quietest.
I then did the infamous "Y pipe modification" tot he stock pipes that gained about 5 hp, they still sounded fine. Very comfortable on the highway with the stereo.
A wild hair and the never ending quest for more power made me put Rinehart true duals on. Oh man! This is what a HD is supposed to sound like!! Gained 10 hp too. Much louder but it sounds awesome.
You have to decide ... quiet or power. But the Supertrapps are a good compromise.
