So I rode my '08 SG home yesterday from the dealer. 43F, 20mph+ winds and sleet. What a ride!!
So I started out with just a few add-ons at this point. A necessary add-on for me was the reach seat & I had to add-on the backrest and pass. handles for my daughter and other passengers along with the quick release docking kit.
What the hell is the story with the MOCO destructions? They were the worst formulated "informational" sheet I've ever seen. Yes, the information was 95% correct, but very poorly written & very hard to understand.
Granted, ths is my first experience with MOCO products, but damn.... If any woman were to read these destructions to try and get the docking components installed, they would understand why we never use them. I shoulda never looked at them, would taken me much less time.
I'm not a total gear-head, but not inept either. The destructions increased my work time by double or more. The second side took 1/10 the time the first side took. Anyway, just thought I'd post about this experience and see what others have found.
In the future, I won't even bother with them unless I'm totally stuck.
The parts are made in China and the instructions are written in India [:@]
When I put my lowers on, AND when I put my wind deflectors on before I bought the lowers that replaced the deflectors, thepictures were REVERSED on both instructions!!
It is easier to throw them away and do it on your own...I can promise you it will be faster....
