the cruise numbers were perfect, so we didnt need to change anything in the area, it was just the lean rise we went twisted to WFO, but as we tried to tune that out, we started loseing numbers, after i install my clutch, were going make some pulls on it, i'm putting a rekluse torqdrive on it next week

I would be concerned about that lean spot. It is right at cruising RPMs and will cause extra high temps. IMHO you should find a tuner tofix that issue for you.
Do not confuse what you see on Johns (or any) dyno sheet as a reflection or indication of how it will perform under "normal" cruise conditions. What you see on dyno sheet is a reflection of one thing and one thing ONLY ~ 100% ~ WFO condition.

A bike with the best dyno sheet may ride like **** if the tune is poor in cruise conditions. The converse is equally true in that the best "riding" bike may not have the most appealing dyno sheet.

There are many components to tuning and all are important. "Proper" tune in normal riding conditions "should" be the most important thing, as we spend the vast majority of our time there. Then there is tune for MAX power (dyno numbers) that occurs under 100% throttle conditions. While it is "nice" to be able to thump your chest and say "My Dynodick is bigger than yours".... for all practical purposes, it's not that big'a deal.

Be sure you understand what is "presented to you" and what it might of might not really mean in terms of usability in real world conditions.

BTW - I don't think I've said it yet, but... nice numbers John, I bet we can still improve on them some...

Also... John knows how to do this stuff as well as anybody, and better than most.
I was more concerned about the near 17:1 air to fuel ratio around the 3000 rpm mark. I realize that dynos are run with the throttle wide open, however if an engine gets ran at 17:1 AFR for very long it will overheat at a minimum. As for dyno numbers, as far as I'm concerned they are only a tool for tuning.

as we tried to tune that out, the numbers dropped, but as you can see, its only for a few hundred rpm, a very short time, as this things rips FAST !!!!!!!!!!!!, what we couldnt figure out was the spike at 4450rpm, it moved down as we tried to get rid of the lean spot, the AF at cruise is set at 14.4/14.6 the oil temp never got high and gets great mileage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everything we want and more !!!

My bad. Didn't realize the AFR was monitored at cruise speeds. Just didn't wanna see a brother burn up a fresh build. By the way, nice ride!

its not all full throttle all the time, we did a cruiseA/F check at diferent loads to make sure it wasnt too lean or rich, but it was right on!!!!!!! but of course of envious of philm, cause its never enough........................

John,
Nice numbers and the "Fatcat dip" in the tqis the one quirk of the pipe, but it can be worked out but most will not even notice it by the seat of the pants.

Phil's link to the info on the 6 speeds has caught my attention as I start to tune mine. It will be interesting to see other 120's that are 5 speeds vs the 6's.

I have to say again to all, if it feels good and runs good, the numbers are not all that important unless you are flogging it on the dragstrip or bench racing all the time.

Oh, and John, the "more is better"is never able to be satisfied, you will always want more
