This sucks
Like pilot was saying............
notice my front fender trim piece in my sig pic.
Dropped the bike in the ice on the driveway taking that pic. My brother in Fla wanted to see my new bike, so I rolled it out of the garage and whoopsssssssssssssss.
Still, at the prices we pay for these bike, they better be perfect coming out of the dealership

Then you get home, the kid climbs on it, you drop it, and your 14 y/o opens the car door into it.
Ride it!

Acid, very nice ride. Well, theres no kids (there all on their own), no wife. Just a cat, and all she dose is sleep. The bike is suppose to be ready tomorrow. I guess I'll give them a call to see when they want me come to do my "look over". I'll post in a few days the out come.
thanx buster, i just started doin some work to it
put the vance and hines big shot dual on this weekend, (those are SE slip ons in pic), and what a difference.
basically, they are LONG, tru dual drag pipes.
big difference in the sound from the SE slips, i got to tune it now, and it'll be ready
good luck with yours
dont let that stealer rush you on the final signings
take your time, i say a cpl hours, looking at it. the longer your there, if they get huffy, or rush you, ask um why?
crawl under it, over it, hell, take the seat off, just cuz you can.
good luck,
Rayn

Well, as promised here's what happened at the dealer when I got to do my "look over". They did buff out the scratches, but, in the "light" you could still see the scratch. I admit a lot of it came out. But, I could show them where it was. I could even feel the dig with my finger nail. The sales gal was great, not a blink of the eye. "If you want a new bag, we'll replace it". Well, here comes the service manager. He shows me this HD "warrenty guide" he needs to go by. It basicly states the only way they'll exchange it is if you can see it from 3 feet away. In a nut shell, I made it clear when I put my $$$$ down the screatch wasent there. I told him (calmly) if the dealer feels they cant exchange the bag, "no hard feelings" "lets refund my $$$$ so I can find another bike". With that the sales gal jumped in and said, "we'll replace the bag". I know I wasent being unreasonable, I spent a LOT of frekin $$$$. Like we all stated, why should I or any of us settle for anything other then "pristine" upon delivery. Maybe the dealer needs to find a better place to keep bikes that are sold. And, if he wants to use "our bikes" as sales tools, then their going to have to accept the responcibility while the preform our upgrades. Over all, Im happy with the dealer and the outcome. The sales gal, Denise and one of the parts counter guys, Brian are top shelf in my book. It pays to stand your ground. Now Im wondering how many people settle for less then they expected. This is my first HD, I didnt bat an eye at the price of the bike (FLHTI), upgrades, clothing or anything eles I purchased. Oh well, enough said. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.
