I had the same question about my 07 road glide when i first got it. i came off a vtx 1800 so i did not know if all the little noises where normal or if they were bad knocks of some sort. Then i had a real problem i guess my lifter and rocker arm was not properly installed from the factory and at 6k miles started to come off (according to the dealer) and that made a real knock and now that i have heard that i am better and telling the difference between normal and excessive.
