true duals or 2 into 1

Looking for new pipes for my 08 SG. Are there any advantages to the 2-1 over true duals. Just doing the basic stage 1. Will I gain any more horse power with the 2-1 ? Those who have a 2-1 on their SG can ya chime in on this. Opinions, too loud to hear your radio? Pros, cons etc. Thanks

2 into 1 is the best exhaust you can put on for HP and TQ. With that said, I dont like the looks of a bagger that doesnt have duals on it.

Absolutely, true duals actually hurt performance slightly as opposed to any good 2-1 which is the best performing exhaust you can buy.

I have a Supertrapp Supermeg 2-1 on my 04 bagger which is the quietest 2-1 (+ it is tuneable for both performance & soundvolume)& I can hear my stereo just fine at 80 mph with Hog Tunes speakers & AMP.

Spread the heat, that right leg gets hot. unless your a hp fanatic a true dual system will do you just fine

I have the V&H Pro Pipe 2 into 1 and love it. Good power and a real nice sound.

Went to Panama FLthis weekend. Found a dynoJet and talked to the guy about 2 into1 vs duel exhaust. Now remember. This guy was selling reinhart two into one plus reinhart true duels. I ask him about the two into one pipes and he told me the true duels were best. He said if you needed low end that bad to go with a low end cam rather than another set of pipes. He tunes and maps thousands of bikes a year.
He took my bike. I was having low end problems. i was having heat problems. I was having power problems all the way around the block. Thanks to the harley shop. He took my bike and remaped it in about 45 min and tuned it up and the difference was unreal. Then he looked at me and said... take that 585 cam out and put a S&S 50 in and you will have the low end torque you want. He could of sold me a set of 2 into one pipes right there, but He didnt.

My guess is this. If 2 into 1 was so good , you would see a lot of people with them on their bikes. Take a look around. What do you see ? Iv got 105 TQ /101 Hp with reinharts after the dyno and I can flat out feel it now.

I guess I would have to see a bike with true duels vs supertrap pipes tested to believe they make that much differents. Not calling anyone out here, Im just saying for me to buy a set.......
