on Thursday morning rolling down I-185 from Phenix City AL to Thunder Beach --- going about 95mph 6th gear the bike startsa serious wobble--- kind of snake like---let off the gas down to about 80 / 75 it comes out of the wobble---good road don't know why it did this.
I've had similar experiences with my '08 SG. I think the stabilizers that everyone has been talking about lately, like RideStr8 for example, are supposed to be curing these issues.
It's all about rake & trail. SG's have shorter shockers than Ultra's etc, meaning the rake & trail will differ. That's why putting larger diameter front wheels in affects the stability. Add in factors like cross winds, tyre pressures, windshields etc etc & it's a minefield out there!!
I omitted some info -- bike was fully loaded -- 160/18 metz on the rear 4.25 rim with 40lbs of air
