Plan on riding it into retirement, rebuilding it and riding it forever!

As good as the 96" is, 103" is the best motor H-d has made. I have owned 74"&80" shovels, 84" shovel,80" Evo, 88TC and now the 103.

Why do you say "dreaded SE 255's"? I have them in mine and think they are pretty good low end cam..got 60,000km on my 96, se comp and inner primary bearing replaced.

Hi,

33,000kms, had inner bearing race move outward causing leak, all fixed, otherwise stage1 motor feels good, will put some cams in during our winter and will check the cam chest at that time

Thanks

I have over 38,000 miles on a 07 Ultra Classic with the 96CI engine. I have not had a problem with it and run it pretty hard. I use synthetic oil though.

I have 69,000 miles on my '09 96 and it still runs strong. Just take care of it.

I say "dreaded" because, everybody hates them, but about 1/2 the people here in touring bikes are running them! Bad mouthed by everybody except those of us that run them.
