The red security key comes on when it feels like it and goes off when it feels like it while I am riding??? It does not appear to affect the system at all... bothersome.

all these creature comforts can be a PITA when they malfunction, on my wifes car the deck lid opens and closes itself. It stared acting goofy and I figured it was a faulty "hydraulic lifter thingy" that I could get from pep boys for a few bucks...nope...computer was confused and cost me $90 bucks for the dealer to fix it
I'm no bike mechanic but I think I'd try un hooking the negative battery cable for a few minutes. Then hook it backup and see if the systems reset to normal, if not let the dealer jack with it. I dont know if pulling the maxi fuse will do the same thing or not. ?Good Luck
