Why is it so difficult to find a stock dyno plot for the 88, 96, and 103 in a touring frame?
I agree that is very frustrating! Seems most of us are happy to see what we got after making mods, but not what the stock bike gave before we messed with it.
Yes, please do. Why is it so difficult to find a stock dyno plot for the 88, 96, and 103 in a touring frame?
I guess nobody wants to spend the money to dyno a stock bike? It would be interesting to see what a top notch tuner could get out of a stock bike using just a tuner add on.

I dynoed my bike when I got it, OK I had SE A/C and some slip ons, but other than that it was bone stock. Sheet is in this thread somewhere!

I'd like to see those figures just optimising a stock bike without any add-ons!
A friend of mine was a development engineer at BSA, back in the good ol' days. They occasionally took a new engine straight off the production lines, ran them on a dyno and checked performance before and after optimising them. In those days the 750cc triples had three sets of points and adjusting them and valve clearances just right was worth several HP.
Here's my dyno on my completely stock 2010 SE Ultra 110" for those that are interested. This is the dyno as the bike was straight out of the crate and after about 500 miles of break-in.
here's my chart on my 103 build, 2000 flhtcui, stock throttle body, se compressor heads , se stroker crank(600.dollar crank) , s&s 570g cams , old pro pipe
Nice run! Too bad the horses don't come up higher than 102.6. I would think they would have been at least 107 with that set up. What compression ratio are you at?
That torque is impressive too. Already 100 ft lbs at 2400 rpms.

the heads have a little smaller valves and a smaller dish..indy told me it should be around the 10/1 comp ... my previous build had better heads and crank and pushed out 108.1 hpand 125.2 tq..... its still fun to ride and pull pretty hard.... when running 4k rpms in high gear(5 speed), its running 95 mph and has plenty of pep... im sure its gonna run flat on top end , but i dont normally ride tht fast.

09 roadglide w/103 kit. forged screaming eagle high comp pistons, S&S easy start cams 551,(i think) rush slip ons, SERT, and K&N filter w tuned v stack. 103tq 94hp needs a little more tunning but runs good.
