This way we can get somewhat of a comparison.

Yes I know this isn't scientific because every bike and every tuner is different along with the region you live in. Just wanted to get a GUESSTIMATE..

The reason I put it here also was so that only tourers answers are posted. [

Don't be embarred about your results dude. If you are happy with it that's all that matters. numbers are just numbers. Half the numbers here are printed in differn't correction factors or run in differn't gears anyways. Unless bikes are run back to back on the same dyno on the same day in the same conditions, they aren't really much worth comparing anyways. You can take your bike down the street and put it on another dyno and have totaly differn't results. That being said, I would say that you are about ight on par for what you have. As long as you have a smile on your face when you're riding it you should be proud of it.

Here's a tune I did for a forum member with a 103" with 255 cams and monster oval slip ons. It should be pretty close to where you would be with the 255 cams on your ride. The blue lines are when I tuned him with the 103, the red line is when I tuned him at a 96" with cams.

Thanks. You know what was really funny about this was one mechanic dyno tuned the bike and came out 74 and 86. But the bike had no midrange power hardly at all. After several days of driving it I decided to complain. They put a new mechanic on it and after 2.5 hours re-tuning they arrived at 75 and 87. But get this. The bike rode night and day difference even though the numbers do not show it. I guess what some say is true " The dyno is only as good as the tech doing the work"

My #'s without a print.

Was riding a 02 FLHPI. Installed a Kenny Day fairing. Loved the wind protection, but it felt like I was pulling a plow.

Installed the S&S "Quick Setup" a/c and SPO mufflers. She came back, but had also ordered heads and cam. Mildly ported big valve heads, Andrews 21G and DynaJetIII USB.

Had it on the dyno after all was installed. She pulls 82hp,85ft/lbs. Really happy with the results.

She has been running great for the last 7 years. No plan of every letting her go.

Momma was looking to upgrade from her 02 FXDL to a touring model. We purchased a nice 09FLHTP w/2100 miles.

SHE decided that the new frame models was a bit too much of a change, she could handle it, just wasn't comfy with the weight. Sooo, she got the RK with a seat change, I got to E-Glide

02FLHPI kas more power, 09FLHTP is alot easier to ride. Power is smoother and a lot more linear.

Will Probably add the S&S Quick Set up to the E-Glide and be really happy, we'll see what the future holds.

P.S.

I think the Andrews 21G was a step down from the stock Police cam, was wishing I'd have stepped up to 26.

What do you all think about a/c and mufflers on the 09, will the bike tune itself that much, or will I need a tune done to it?

That is very easy to explain. The dyno numbers everone gets so worked up about are only showing a pull at wide open throttle. A proper dyno tune tunes alot more than just 100% throtle. I attached what a VE table looks like (this is the table that gets tuned for air fuel). If you look across the top, you'll see the column numbers are 0, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, etc. These are throttle positions. The row numbers going down the left side are RPM's. When we tune a bike we record data in each throttle position. IOW we will start record, then open the throttle to the position we are targeting, like 20%, or 60% or whatever. We hold this position untill the bike either hits the rev lmiter or won't rev any higher. Then we take our recording (it's a line in an air fuel graph) and we adjust the column to meet our desired calibration. Keep in mind that the VE table you are looking at is only for one cylinder, we tune both (front and rear) cylinders independantly of each other. I am telling you this so you can understand how the second guy that tuned your bike made it run better, even though the overall numbers were'nt that differn't. The second tech just did you a better job in the throttle positions that you don't see on your printout. Hope this helps.
