I have the Panoptix, got them on eBay. They work great, but I went back to regular tinted for day and clear for night riding. I always carry an extra set of clear safety glasses for the friend who forgot to bring theirs.
wiley x is the way to go. I spoke with an optomotrist about these and told me to let them sit out in the light all day long that it would help with the transition part to get a little darker. they said they dont get as dark as some straight dark lenses. i got mine dark enough for my liking.
...Thanks DT, Iwas just looking at those on Ebay.Afteryou left them out to darken them up, did theystill return to pretty clear when it got dark?
yep they get pretty clear for nigh riding. these are my primary glasses that I use for nightime. i ride to work most of the time and have to leave the house around 4:30am here in dc to avoid a lot of traffic and put these on every morning no problem with them in the dark.

RE: Light Adjusting Sunglasses?
I purchased mine from Harley with the day/night lenses and my prescription (the H-D glasses are made by Carl Zeiss) and they're one of the very best investments I ever made. They transition from fully clear to fully dark or vice versa in about 20 seconds. Fantastic!
I chose mine from CĂŠbĂŠ, a sea/mountain product.
Very comfortable, lenses are not fragile, they vario and polarised, an enhancement I would'nt miss...
I had the Panoptx with the day/night lenses. They worked pretty good, didn't quite get dark enough for me during the day.
They were fine for riding on the back but once I started riding my own I got too much wind and had to switch to goggles. I can't find any glasses that fit my face. Now I'm switching out lenses day and night, such a pain!
I sell a bunch of Eye Rides. I'm to cheap to run them myself so I can't speak first hand on them. I will ask one of the guys how they like them. http://www.eyeride.com/premium.htm
If anyone is interested in these I'll hook you guys up with 20% off. I may even try a set myself.

Be careful with the polaroid lenses--as they reduce glare, they may also reduce ability to see slippery spots on the highway. You can also get some distracting effects on the plexi glasswindshields when looked through with polaroids.
Our local optical shop at Walmart, of all places, has some really nice foam backed sunglasses that will take a RX lens.
