Default Engine Idle Temperature Management System

In the manual for the 08 Ultra it says that the Engine Idle Temperature Management System comes disabled from the factory. To enable it it says to turn the ignition on, do not start the engine, roll off the throttle for 3 seconds and the cruise light will flash green. The same procedure will disable it by flashing the cruise light red. When I attempt this, the cruise light does not come on in any color. Nothing happens.

Anyone tried this?

When did you take delivery? This works on bikes shipped after December 3, 2007. If it was before that the dealer will need to do a download i think.

It should work If not have the dealer look at it the next time you swing by there.

Mine works fine. When you say you "rolled off" the throttle, did you simply let go of the throttle or did you purposely rotate the throttle past the "off" position and hold it? That's what triggers the system. Just thought I'd check.

You have to have the kill switch in the ON position as well as the key switch. Figured this out last night.
