I just received my new sundowner seat for my Road Glide and noticed that it does not have the metal tab that bolts it to the rear fender.&nbsp\\; I used my old one.&nbsp\\; Should the new seat have this bracket or is it normal to come without it?

You did the right thing using your old one. After all, you can only put one seat on the bike at a time.

 

I think it is hit or miss if the tab is on the new seat.&nbsp\\; I bought a new sundowner a few months ago and it had the tab already attached.

 

Tab was on mine.

+2 its hit and miss for some reason. I've purchased around 20 or 30 new seats to work on for customers and about half have had them and half without...not sure why and I have meant to ask the parts dept guys and forget to.

 

See if you can trade them the useless seat strap for one.
