I can see Donnylee's point, give as much specific detail of your problem as you can so that
perhaps someone can lend you their assistance.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;With that said,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;what a vicious spiral that thread turnedinto. Seems if you have a low post count you are seen as less credible or perhaps a troll, but why would someone contribute and subsequently raise their post count if they&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;can expect to be swiftly drawn and quartered. Seems like a good way to bring this forum to a screeching, non-existant halt. If you boil it down to brass tax it's nothing more than "I have more posts than you!" or "My father can beat your father at dominoes!" WTF are we back in the 5th f*&amp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;^ing grade or something. If you want to help than help if not than don't, but to crucify a guy because he didn't
state his question in a way that you find acceptable is asinine. BTW, if it is not a problem you have had with your bike consider yourself ahead of the game.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Well said.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Thank You

Look if it makes some of you all feel better I was a little rough on Sparks98 I admit that.&nbsp\\; So here is an apology to him if in fact he was not trolling.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
That said, Hang Arounds, prospects&nbsp\\;are no different then the rest of us just not as seasoned to this site and the past subject matters fact and fiction. BUT when a guy has just&nbsp\\;2 posts to his name and comes into a forum where we get fairly&nbsp\\;regular pot stirring with trolls, and you post some&nbsp\\;wagging idle issue&nbsp\\;smack about TBW in a very vague way, and talk about throttle run off&nbsp\\;on your 3rd post.&nbsp\\; You need to understand the everyday&nbsp\\;regulars here see it all the time, and rightly or wrongly he pegged my troll meter.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Based on&nbsp\\;2 Posts, a vague description, then a fairy&nbsp\\;tale about TBW&nbsp\\;run off.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
So do the rest of us a favor and give us the benefit of the doubt There are lots of good people here. But we get some unwelcome&nbsp\\;trolls finding this place, and we eat them!
&nbsp\\;
That in mind, the mass here certainly&nbsp\\;welcomes all others.&nbsp\\; So a&nbsp\\;welcome from me&nbsp\\;Little Mike!&nbsp\\; Hope you decide to stick around.

I also have an '08 Ultra with just over 2000 miles and am having trouble too. Seems like it has a mind of its own.....Talked to my dealer last week and there will be a new burn out soon....good luck.

JB Weld the throttle at the RPM you want and forget it!
Of course it might take some getting used to zipping out of the driveway every morning at about 2500 RPM

Mine has an occasional "brain fart" I call it when I forget and twist the grip a couple of times when cranking to start. That really seems to screw it up, and makes very hard starting. Best way to start-up is to get your throttle hand off the grip and let the puter do all the f/a mixture and throttle setting automatically..... It does have an excellent cruise control, and will maintain speed up hill and down. I use that feature all the time and is well worth getting used to the quirks in my FBW system. I Just need to&nbsp\\;stop twisting the grip a couple of times&nbsp\\;to dump some raw fuel into the throttle bodies to aid start-ups.

Just repeating what I heard on the evening news, channel 107 to be exact.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; For 20 bucks I'll have them send&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;you a transcript of the articleBy the way... Isn't the pipot heat system controled by a heat coupling sensor?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; My piont is... just because you have 2 billion dollars to send dosn't make something more reliable. an example: a throttle cable can be stess tested with a factor of two, for variances of material, saftey and human&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;error,...but an electronic sensor only has a stress factor of one.
Another example:&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Look at cars 15 years old, the ones with manual windows still work, most of them at least.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;But the cars with power windows, I bet more than half have some kind of electrical issue within their power window system.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Do you have anything to add on the topic of FBW&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;racklefratz?

I'm sure you all heard about one of there two billion dollar B2's crashing a few weeks ago, due to a little condensation in one of the sensors.
Nope.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Didn't hear that at all.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; It was moisture in the pitot system.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Pitot heat would have cleared it.

Fly by wire.......Hmmmm
Yeah, exactly.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Hmmmmm.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Sorry to pop your bubble.
Do you have any idea how many decades airplanes have used electrically heated pitot-static systems?

Like dw2169 said...After lubeing mine, the throttle no longer sticks.&nbsp\\; Thus, at shutdown&nbsp\\;it resets to idle, instead of having a slight amount of throttle which will cause surging.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
