If I don't let it idle down before shutting it off the ECM will remember what the last RPM was and Idle at that higher position

Are you letting the bike warm up? If&nbsp\\;the engine is&nbsp\\;cold and you just started it, it's supposed to idle higher.&nbsp\\;They don't have a manual choke so it's done electronically.
&nbsp\\;
Let it&nbsp\\;warm up and I bet it goes down to regular idle speed on it's own.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
15,000 miles and no problem! Works great!

My 08 RG has over 5,000 miles with no problems.
Absolutely no problems with the FBW throttle.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Need I say it again.
&nbsp\\;
Just ride it and stop looking for non-existent problems.

I believeYamaha R1 has had it for a year. If not that bike then it is one of the main fours literbikes. Supposedly this is hot technology and you will see alot more of it. I commend Harley for goiong with it.
&nbsp\\;
What's the whole point of TBW?&nbsp\\; There was nothing wrong with the cables, and so far as I know, the TBW doesn't do anything extra that the cables weren't doing an excellent job with anyway.&nbsp\\; There are documented problems popping up with this that wouldn't have taken place with the cable system.&nbsp\\; The service manager at my local dealer said he expects there to be a recall once they've debugged the issues popping up.

My 08 Street glide has the same problem, the bike is warmed up after 100 miles on the freeway, pull off to get fuel and the dam RPM's increase to 1500, no I'm not twisting the throttle before I shut it down and yes this has happened about a dozen times in the last 8 weeks that I have had it, 6200 miles.
YES ITS A REAL PROBLEM AND YES ITS ANOYING. Just because it has not happened on every bike does not mean that this does not exist.
It goes in to the shop on the 20th for high flow air cleaner and remapping and I will talk to the mechanic about it then.

Love mine, no cables, works fine, all is good.&nbsp\\; Of course, I will never refer to it as "fly by wire", the avionics guys will straighten you right out on that one ............. probably why HD calls it TBW, because it is.
