If I don't let it idle down before shutting it off the ECM will remember what the last RPM was and Idle at that higher position
No issues here w/ 08 SG. I know to let the engine settle before shutting it down, and to take my hand off the throttle when turning the bike off so the TPS doesn't re-learn zero position.
My 08 Ultra does the same thing...idle is erratic.....when problem surfaces, it's usually at 1500 rpm. I just go thru the ignition cycle drill and it's OK for awhile. Guess I'll continue with this routine until HD comes out with a fix. My bike is stove bolt stock.
First of all an F-16 is Fly By Wire \\;jet plane \\;FBW because it flys. I don't think many Harley's fly, at least I haven't seen any do that so I think TBW Throttle by Wire is the correct terminology. LOL
After 3k flawless miles on an 08 SG TBW I drove a friends 'cable' bike - felt kinda loose and clunky. I don't think I would ever buy a bike without TBW. "Once you try TBW you'll never go back." Err wait a minute that doesn't rhyme.

I'm sure you all heard about one of there two billion dollar B2's crashing a few weeks ago, due to a little condensation in one of the sensors.

Fly by wire.......Hmmmm
6700 miles no problems at all. \\; I think it is more positive than cables and a quicker response than the 03 fatboy and my 99 ultra was. .... \\; \\; low post counts do seem to have the most problems
