Fairing removal?

Curious to how much work to remove a fairing from older glides like a FLHTCU &nbsp\\;and redo speedo/tach etc. Want to use a windshield but no fairing.

Thanks! I will look some more.Found info on how to remove to replace speakers and headlight may want to remove totally/permanently.
