I was able to have the Harley Dealer send it off to Iron Cross Audio.
They said the use another vendor, but I told them I would like it to go to Iron Cross Audio and they looked into it and said thank you! they seem like a better place then what we were using! So I am home waiting till I get everything back!

I have the same problem. I have replaced the speaker switch and checked all wires at the speakers and under the faring. I ride down the street and o sound, i rock the speaker switch and get sound again. My dealer is also at a loss on what to do.

Send it to Iron Cross. Mine was doing the exact thing as OP. I'm waiting to getmine out of New England after Hurricane Sandy.

same issue here. 2011 street glide, 10000 miles. These HK radios are JUNK!! Mine would work for a little bit then the sound would cut out. Tired of not knowing if my radio was going to work or not so finally bought a Sony aftermarket unit and boy does my stereo sound better now. Night and day.

Same problem on my 2011 FLHX with 26,xxx miles. Just started a couple weeks ago. Looking into options. Want to take to the dealer and see if they will replace under warranty, but I don't speak Italian so it make it hard.

HK Radio is frozen

Took my 2008 Ultra Classic to the HP dealer for service yesterday and when I got it back, the radio was frozen. It comes on in FM mode but none of the controls work at all, either on the radio or the handlebar. No sound comes out.
