If you got hit in the rear hard enough to take your tail light and ts brackets Ill bet you rear fender is bent. Look for crack paint in the rear and fender struts.Remember thats why you have insurance and its call a accident.
Hey damaged is damage the light bar is easy to repalce, I would get the price for all replacment parts and give the it to the guy, his choice if he wants to pay or have a hit against his insurance and a $100 fine. \\;\\\\\\; Charcther or not it is and expensive automobile and you should not have to suffer with damage caused by someone else. \\;\\\\\\; Even if you put a claim in against his insurance they should send adjust to look at the bike within a few days and you should have a check with in a few weeks. \\;\\\\\\; you can then make the decision to fix it your self or have the dealer do it. \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;
+1 on this...Get the bike fixed and if you have to wait then have him rent you a loaner until your bike is ready. It his problem not yours (why should you be inconvienced because of his mistake?).
I've tried several times to reply...but you know how that is going. \\; Thanks for the advice from those who offered it. \\; Things are progressing ok. \\; Of course, the dealer had to order the lenses, but the cracked ones are still holding on.
