I've tried others but for some reason have had the best luck with HD.

If this is your first battery change i would say you had the best. HD batteries have a good rep.

I like the HD batteries too. I am still on my original battery and my bike is 02(bought in fall 01). I've always keep a Battery Tender Jr hooked to it while I am not riding.

I'm sticking with HD batts. I bought a top of the line aftermarket one last year for both bikes. The Sporty is easy on batteries, or has been historically before I added the EFI, but my bike has a history of eating them. So, last year's sealed batt from the aftermarket shop was getting weak on me already and I just bought a HD batt for it a few days ago. For like $140. Ouch.

Big Crank batteries are made by the same company that makes them for the MoCo. I have one on my '03 Road King.
