Black Exhaust

Anyone out there decided to "Blacken" their exhaust. I am developing a custom exhuast for my 07 RKC to try out a new muffler design . I want to keep the engine and accessories in the chrome and black standard look but I was thinking not chroming the exhaust, just have it power "trim black".

I recently ordered the V&H Monster Ovals in black and plan on removing my heat shields to have them blacked out as well. Maybe when the Dresser Duals come out for the '09, I'll go that route.

Sent my V&H Ovals and headers to Jet Hot in Penn. and had everything ceramic coated black

Hey Chicago Spike, if you don't mind me asking, what did it cost to have your exhaust ceramic coated. They look great btw!

Thank you for the inputs, Chicago that's the look I was hoping I'll get. Take the focus away from the exhaust and direct it to the engine since it will have majority of the chrome items.

Just received the quote from Jet-Hot. To do the entire system on my 07 SG is $554.00, with shipping. That is: two Rush mufflers, (in & out) All heat shields, (both sides) and header pipes.

Hope this helps as I am going to do mine,
